Its All or Nothing

Why is it that we find comfort in hiding behind the shadows and never truly exposing ourselves to the world around us? We have been given this opportunity to live for something greater than ourselves, to live for a God that has placed us before his own. That in itself, should have us on the streets, telling everyone we come in contact with, the amazing truth of a selfless King. But what do we do instead? Nothing.

The time has come to stand for what we believe in, the very existence of who we are depends on this. Its all or nothing. Is there an appropriate, non-confronting way? Is there even a wrong or right way? Honestly, who cares. If we truly believed in this, and put God first and what He has called us to do, no one could get us to shut up about it.

There is one thing that stands in the way. Ourselves. It’s not about what we’ve made it, or what we desire to gain from it. It’s about denying your self and allowing God to radiate through you to this world.

There is a love beyond all reason, beyond anything that we can wrap our minds around. The only thing that we can do is allow our hearts to overflow with this love. The love that has no pretenses, the love that expects nothing in return, the love that places others first.
We are wasting our lives away if we are not living for Him, and if we aren’t living for Him we’re not even truly living. He is all we have, and nothing compares to the love we have in Him. He believes in us, and that is more than anyone could ever ask for.

Father,
You are all I have, so I’ll give You all I have and all that I am. I live for you alone, because without you, I am nothing.

No Greater Name

One of the most simple, yet powerful songs that I have written “No Greater Name” has finally made the production table. This song comes from my reading through the Book of John. Reading through this book, I could do nothing but fall to my face in worship of our King. Here are the lyrics. Enjoy!

I’ve spent the last 12 hours or so laying down the scratch vocals and guitar for this newly created song “All I Have”. This song has a powerful message in saying that “You’re all I have, so I give you all I have”. Here is a sneak peak of what I have been working on. Let me know what you think.

Today, I am starting a venture that I hope to complete by the beginning of this upcoming summer. A worship album. Over the last five years or so, I have written a collection of songs that God has laid on my heart to record so that they may become a resource to today’s church.

Enter “Rise to Fall”, an album filled with songs that are richly inspired by personal struggle and joy. I believe that as we worship our Creator, it is a constant motion of rising in Him only to fall to his feet.

I will do my best to keep you updated throughout the process, so please come by my site often and interact with me as I record this thing.
